Gender:Female
Preferred Subjects:English (ESL), French, Spanish, Study Skills/Organization, and Algebra
Experience:I am currently a grad school student at NYU Steinhardt, and will be getting a masters in International Education (with a specialization in Cross-Cultural Exchange and Training.)

Before going back to school for my masters degree, I was a French and Spanish teacher at Morristown-Beard School, a private prep-school in New Jersey. I have three years of experience teaching and over 5 years of experience tutoring. I have worked with children that have difficulty with study skills, organizational skills and a variety of learning disabilities. I have also worked with children of all age groups from elementary school to college students.

Having grown up in Guatemala City on a bi-cultural home, I was always fascinated with foreign languages and cultures. Aside from English, I speak Spanish, French and Italian fluently. I have experience tutoring all four languages I speak. I attended Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, MA) for my undergraduate degree, majoring in Art History and French. I also studied abroad in France (Universite de Paris IV, La Sorbonne)and worked at the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy. I have traveled extensively around the world, experiences I often share with my students to enhance their learning experience.
Hobbies:I enjoy soccer and tennis. I love to spend time in NYC getting as much of the cultural scene as possible! I love attending Broadway shows, theater plays, film festivals, art exhibits, outdoor festivals, music concerts, finding great restaurants, etc.
